ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT DRIVE                                                                                     (ADD Brochure)

Our Annual Development Drive is a “simple” fund raiser that asks current school families, faculty/staff, parishioners, alumni, grandparents, and friends to donate to our school. Currently we are asking supporters to donate to one of the four (4) following categories:

Endowment

  • An endowed gift is a gift that keeps on giving. Endowment is essential to the long-term financial stability of our school. Anyone who is interested in the continued success of Saint Henry School can make a gift that will benefit the school’s future.

A gift made to our school through this fund is invested and only the income is spent, never the invested principal. This fund is designated to offer you the opportunity to support our school so that future generations may benefit from its continued excellence.

Tuition Assistance

  • We are aware of the burden tuition places on some families who are committed to Catholic education but may not be able to manage full tuition. Saint Henry School is committed to assisting families who have demonstrated financial need. If you share our belief that Saint Henry School plays a significant part in developing the future of our faith, please return the commitment card with your tax-deductible financial contribution.

General Fund

  •  Would you like to help?   Saint Henry School relies on the support and dedication of its parents, grandparents, parishioners, alumni, and friends for the needs and operational expenses it incurs to educate all students and to maintain and improve our facility.

A quality, faith-filled education is a tremendous gift in itself.  If you have benefited from a Catholic education or appreciate the value of such an education, please consider how you might be able to help our school financially.  Your participation does make a difference and whether the gifts are small or large in size the student population of Saint Henry School is sure to benefit.

  • Matching Gifts

You may not be aware of it, but it is possible that the company for which you work has a matching gift program. Many large corporations and several smaller companies support these programs, which either match contributions dollar-for-dollar or at a set percentage of your paid gift. Double or even triple the impact of a gift by obtaining a matching gift from participating companies. Learn if your employer has a matching gift program by contacting a representative from your company’s Personnel or Human Resources office.

What is the time line for the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund Campaign coincides with the school’s fiscal year which is July 1 through June 30. All gifts and pledges are due by June 30, 2009 in order to be counted for this campaign year and for an individual to be recognized in the SHS Annual Report.

How much should we give?

Only you can decide. We ask that you remember that your contribution, along with those of all our donors, will directly enhance a young child's catholic education. The only gift too small is no gift at all!

By supporting the Annual Fund each year, you are helping to continue Saint Henry School’s tradition of providing the highest quality catholic education. On behalf of our students, thank you for your contribution. Simply click here to obtain the commitment card.

Checks

Gifts should be made payable to Saint Henry School and mailed to:

FUNDRAISING

The following are fundraisers that ask no money from Saint Henry School supporters.

KROGER

A Kroger Gift Card is an easy way to earn money for Saint Henry School. Every time you shop at Kroger with your card, up to 4% of all your future purchases made with the card can benefit SHS. For every dollar spent with a Kroger card, Kroger will donate 4% back to SHS. It’s simple! Here’s how the program works:

  • Purchase a Kroger card through the Saint Henry School office for $5. The card is credited with $5 you can spend immediately at any Kroger across the country.

  • During your next visit to Kroger, add value to the card, up to $500 at a time, for future grocery purchases. You may do this at the customer service desk or at the checkout lane with cash, credit/debit card or check. (You can even use your frequent flyer credit card to add value, and get credit for miles!)

  • Use your card each time you shop at Kroger to pay for your purchases.

  • Whenever the value on your card runs low, add value, up to $500, to your card. Cards that carry a $0 balance for 90 days will be inactivated and removed from the program.

HARRIS TEETER

It's Easy!

  • Stop by the Customer Service desk to get your VIC card and link it to Saint Henry School (#2350)

  • When checking out, simply give the cashier your VIC card and when your purchases of select Harris Teeter Brand products are rung up, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to Saint Henry School.

  • The TIE Program runs from August to May every school year. This one time sign up process must take place each school year.

That is it!. The school of your choice is linked to your VIC card until May 31. For more information on this program, check out www.harristeeterrancher.com/community/together_in_education

  • Pick up your Publix card at the Saint Henry School office or from your local Publix store (be sure it is a Saint Henry School card)

  • Visit your local Publix store and purchase eligible products. You will know which products are eligible by the store signage.

  • Present your registered Publix card to the cashier during checkout and Publix will contribute a percentage of purchases to our school.

  • Your Publix card is valid at all Publix stores and PIX locations

  • Tell your friends and family and save even more! Your family and friends can shop at Publix and direct their dollars toward Saint Henry School.

HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION

Established at Saint Henry School is the Home and School Association. This organization is most helpful to the pastor, principal, teachers, and parents in advancing the cause of Catholic education. All parents are urged to take an active interest in this association by attending meetings and taking part in volunteer opportunities within the school.

The Home & School Association is made up of all families in the school. Everyone is welcome to volunteer. If you have not filled out a volunteer form, please click here to print, complete, and return to school. There are jobs for everyone, whether you work outside the home, have little ones at home, or just don't know where to help. It is a great way to make friends and make a very positive contribution to your child's school. We try to call on everyone who volunteers throughout the year, but please don't be shy. Call us if you want to jump right in. If you have been a previous volunteer, challenge yourself to take on a leadership role and chair a committee. We could really use your help!
