Rain may have tried to slow us down, but nothing could stop our Field Day FUN! Congratulations to the Black Team on their big win! Most importantly, smiles, laughter, and school spirit were everywhere, proving that a little rain can’t dampen a great day. AND Field Day always reminds us that summertime is only a day away!

We are incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding achievements in the Catholic Math League National Competition! Congratulations to: ⭐ Kayla Wehby (4th grade) — Catholic Math League Math 4 National Champion ⭐ Owen Stricklin (7th grade) — Math 7 Division 2 Champion ⭐ Our 7th Grade — 1st Place in the Math 7 Division 2 Championship! The Catholic Math League is a national mathematics competition established in 1997 for students in Catholic schools in grades 3–8, testing them in advanced mathematics (Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2). Through four annual no-calculator contests, students sharpen critical thinking and test-taking skills while challenging themselves mathematically. We celebrate these students for their hard work, dedication, and incredible accomplishment on the national stage! Way to go, Tigers!
Last week our PreK hosted Muffins with Moms! Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful moms and mother figures! Thank you for all the love, support, and care you pour into your children and our school community each and every day.
O Mary! we crown thee with blossoms today, Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May. This week's all-school mass was extra special as it included the 8th graders beautiful May Crowning and a special procession of our First Communicants (2nd graders).
ALUMNI NEWS - Grace Bauer, SHS class of 2022, is the Salutatorian of this year's graduating class from St. Cecilia Academy! Grace has earned an impressing GPA while managing a demanding course load and remaining actively involved in school activities. She has also been recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar. Her passion for biology began in seventh grade when her physician father shared a patient scan with her. Since then her goal has been to work in the medical field. She has served for two consecutive years as vice president of her class and parliamentarian of Sodality. Upon graduation from St. Cecilia Academy this May, Grace will continue her studies at Xavier University. We are so proud of you, Grace! #onceatigeralwaysatiger
ALUMNI NEWS - Hannah Broderick, SHS class of 2022, has been named the 2026 St. Cecilia Girl and recipient of the Lisa Elcan Bruner Scholarship Award. The title of St. Cecilia Girl is the highest honor St. Cecilia Academy confers on a student. By vote of the juniors and seniors, with faculty approval, a senior is chosen who best exemplifies the ideals of St. Cecilia Academy. The St. Cecilia Girl is also the recipient of the Lisa Elcan Bruner Memorial Scholarship. Hannah has always had the innate ability to connect with others. She is remarkably gifted and carries her talents with quiet confidence and true humility. Upon graduation this May from St. Cecilia Academy, Hannah will attend Samford University. FIELD TRIP FUN - Our 5th graders had an out-of-this-world adventure at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! From exploring space history to experiencing hands-on STEM activities, students discovered the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and space exploration. It was a day filled with learning, curiosity, and inspiration as they reached for the stars!
The ice storm may have disrupted our Catholic Schools Week this year, but there was no way we were missing the highly anticipated volleyball games! This fun tradition brings 8th grade homerooms together to compete for the championship and the winning team earns the chance to take on the faculty. Congratulations to Mr. O’Hara’s team for taking the win!
FIELDTRIP FUN - Our 1st grade had a fantastic time visiting the Hatcher Family Dairy Farm! Students were eager to learn how milk makes its journey from the cow to the grocery store. They toured the barn, met the cows, and discovered how farmers care for them each day. One of the highlights was seeing the cows being milked with robotic machines! This hands-on experience helped bring learning to life and gave students a deeper appreciation for where their food comes from.
The 2026 Walk-A-Thon was a HUGE success! Thanks to our incredible community, we raised $82,000 to support security initiatives and the Pavilion Project. Shoutout to our amazing chairs, Beth Beste, Kelsey Bossung, and M.C. Lewers, and all the parent volunteers, faculty, and staff who made the day so much fun! THANK YOU & GO TIGERS!

Congratulations to Evie Kienzler and James Pham! Evie earned 2nd place in the 2nd grade division and James took 3rd place in the 6th grade division of the St. Patrick’s Essay and Illustration Contest hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, which is the largest and oldest Irish Catholic organization in America. All entries centered on St. Patrick - his virtues, mission, and message. A special thank you to Dr. John Shea for visiting Tiger Town to present our winners with their tuition awards and beautiful shamrock rosary beads. We are so proud of Evie and James!
We are so proud of our very own Livia Castrillo for earning 3rd place at the State of Tennessee Spelling Bee, held at Nissan Stadium! Competing against 51 of the top student spellers from across the state, Livia delivered an outstanding performance and came just shy of qualifying for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. What an incredible achievement! Way to go, Livia!
Blake Emerson (SHS Class of 1995 and current SHS parent) connects with Hayden Spence (SHS Class of 2018) who is now an architecture and design student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, during a College of Architecture and Design career fair. Our alumni network is a lasting community of mentorship, encouragement, and shared faith, where those who once walked our halls continue to inspire and guide those following in their footsteps. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!
Our middle school students delivered a fantastic performance of The Little Mermaid Jr.! From incredible acting and singing to beautiful sets and costumes, the production was a shining example of the vibrant arts program at Saint Henry School. We are so proud of our talented students and grateful for the teachers and volunteers who help our young performers shine.
Whether you stay home or travel far, we wish all of our wonderful school families and faculty a joyful and restful Spring Break! We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the rest of the school year!
