Mass

Students and teachers attend Mass each week, celebrating the liturgical seasons and saints of the Church throughout the school year. A highlight for each homeroom in 2nd-8th grade is preparing to lead the Mass as readers, choir singers, and gift bearers.

First Penance, First Communion and Confirmation

In second grade, the majority of our students partake in two major Sacraments for the first time: First Penance and First Communion. Our students prepare for these Sacraments throughout the year in their religion classes.

In 8th grade, our students study and participate in experiences which prepare them for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This Sacrament seals the students with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and strengthens their bond with the Church and with Christ.

The sacrament of Penance is offered to students in second through eighth grade, usually during the seasons of Advent and Lent.

Most families of Saint Henry School are part of the Saint Henry Church Catholic community, which provides the fullness of sacramental life for the family.
